rStreptavidin “Full”(159AA) and “Core”(127 AA) Recombinant Streptavidin Host cell : E. coli

Streptavidin is a protein produced by the bacterium Streptomyces avidinii and has
very high affinity for biotin by forming of streptavidin-biotin noncovalent binding.
This product is a highly purified recombinant protein expressed in E.coli.
Two types of Streptavidin “Full” (159 AA) and “Core” (127 AA) are available.

Applications
Streptavidin-biotin binding is known as one of the most stable noncovalent interactions and is stably maintained over wide range of temperature, pH and denaturing agent. This binding has been widely used in the field of biotechnology such as molecular labeling, immobilization and drug delivery system and has been applied for diagnostic and research test kit. Especially in immunochemical assays, it enables to develop highly sensitive detection system.
