EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) is distributed in broad tissues, such as epithelial, mesenchymal, and neural tissues. EGF regulates cell proliferation function and is frequently used in cell culture. On the other hand, EGF has many more functions including proliferation of epithelial cells, and of neuronal cells with FGF2, and is used for differentiative research.
Essentially free of particulates. The concentration is ≧1 mg/ml and the Endotoxin level is ≤0.1 EU/ug. The Biological activity of recombinant human EGF was measured in a mitogenic assay by WST8 in HeLa cell.
